Go kart track

Fast fun for the whole family.

Outdoor go karts for children and grown-ups, with a cafe in the grandstand and a view of every corner.

Hairpin is an outdoor go kart track on the edge of town: a 600 metre circuit with a hairpin, a long back straight and a bridge, run on quiet karts with a speed to suit each driver.

What you can do

Junior karts from age six, adult karts from fourteen, and two-seaters so the youngest can ride with a parent. Every session starts with a safety briefing, and a marshal watches every corner.

    Junior karts

Slower karts with high backs and a speed limiter for drivers aged six to thirteen. The marshals can slow every kart at once.

  • A driver in kart 38 alone on the track in bright sun, trees behind the fencePlaceholder photo

    Adult karts

Fast karts for drivers fourteen and up, with your lap times on the board as you pull in.

    Two-seater karts

A grown-up drives and a passenger from age three rides along, so nobody waits at the fence.

  • Four friends in matching race suits walking to the track carrying their helmetsPlaceholder photo

    Race nights

Qualify, race and stand on the podium on Friday nights, for teams of four to twelve.

Birthday parties in the pit lane

Two sessions on the track for every guest, a podium photo, then a party table in the grandstand cafe with a host.

The grandstand cafe

Coffee, hot chips and milkshakes with a view of the whole track, so the ones not driving can watch every lap.

Frequently asked questions

How old do you have to be?

Junior karts are for drivers from six who can reach the pedals, adult karts for drivers from fourteen. Two-seaters take a passenger from three.

Do we need to book?

Weekdays you can walk in. Weekends and the school holidays book out, so book online to be sure of your session.

What should we wear?

Closed shoes, and long hair tied back. No scarves or loose clothing. We give you a helmet and a head sock.

What if it rains?

A light shower is fine and the karts are slowed. In heavy rain or storms we stop and rebook your session.

Is it safe?

Every kart has a full bumper, a high-backed seat and a seat belt, and juniors have a speed limiter. A marshal watches every corner and can slow or stop every kart at once.
